The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is one of the most popular annual motorcycle events held in Sturgis, South Dakota. Motorcyclists from almost every part of the world come to witness this world’s biggest motorcycle event. The Sturgis Rally has the potential to generate well over $800 million. Most of the revenue made by the Sturgis Rally goes to charity. The local community, stores, shops, hotels, and automobile manufacturers benefit a lot from this event. The Sturgis Rally starts on the first Friday of August every year and lasts for 10 days. On average, approximately half a million motorcyclists attend this event every year. The highest attendance was marked at the 2015 Sturgis Rally, where more than 0.7 million people attended this event according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation. Last year, over half a million riders attended the 82nd Sturgis Rally of 2022. More people are expected to attend the 83rd Sturgis Rally this year. 1. Bikini Beach Pre-Party

Starting on July 31, the Bikini Beach Pre-Party will continue for four days until August 3 at the Buffalo Chip. You can arrive at Bikini Beach on July 31, and get a camp spot to enjoy 10 days of non-stop entertainment, including partying, dancing, musical nights, concerts, and much more.

3. List of Concerts & Bands at the 83rd Sturgis Rally of 2023

Events that will be held during the 10 days of the 2023 Sturgis Rally include beach parties, dances, animal shows, camping, motorcycle stunt shows, races, rallies, and much more. However, what brings the most people to the Sturgis Rally is the series of nightly concerts. This year also has a tight schedule of nightly concerts featuring a good number of performers and bands. The list of concerts and bands coming to perform at the Sturgis Rally 2023 include the following:

3.1 August 3

Jasmine Cain at Kickstands Campground

Jasmine Cain will kick off her performance on Thursday, August 3 at Kickstands Campground. She is a native singer and one of the favorites in the region. Cain was born in Sturgis living near a cattle ranch. She was passionate about horse riding and later became interested in motorcycle riding. Being one of the well-known local singers, Jasmine Cain became a prominent star of the Sturgis Rally.

Jasmine Cain is a multi-talented artist who writes and sings her original songs. Her work is recognized by the music industry and has won several music awards. Being a regular singer at the Sturgis Rally, she will kick off the show and continue to appear throughout the event.

ZZ Top at Buffalo Chip

The ZZ Top from Texas is the first band that will be performing at the Sturgis Rally on Friday, August 4. The band will make an appearance at the Buffalo Chip venue at around 10:30 pm. One of the most traditional American musical bands since the late 1960s, the ZZ Top is quite popular among their fan due to their live performances, humorous lyrics, and unique style.

Steel Panther at Buffalo Chip

Steel Panther will be performing at the Sturgis Rally on August 5 at Buffalo Chip Avenue. Their performance will start at around 8:30 pm. This band is popular for its humorous lyrics and satire on the stage. Steel Panther has also won several awards for their live acts. The active members of this band include Satchel, Spyder, Michael Starr, and Slix Zadina. Whereas, the only female member, Lexxi Foxx had to leave the band due to relocating with her family. However, Steel Panther remains a hit and knows how to entertain a huge audience.

Koe Wetzel at Buffalo Chip

On the same day, Koe Wetzel will be performing live at around 10:30 pm at the Buffalo Chip. Wetzel is a talented all-round performer who can sing, write, and play guitar. The passion came from his mother who herself was also a touring singer. Wetzel is popular for his blend of country and rock music styles.

Frank Fletcher at The Knuckle Saloon

Lynyrd Skynyrd at Buffalo Chip

Lynyrd Skynyrd will kick off the night on Sunday, August 6 at the Buffalo Chip. The show will start at 10:30 pm. This band is self-proclaimed as the house band of the Buffalo Chip and is famous for its live performances. Several active members of this band have died since their launch which has caused the band to stop performing temporarily. The band has survived even after the chartered plane crash in 1977 that resulted in the deaths of three group members and the recent death of Rossington on March 5.

The band includes a husband-wife duo, Korey and John Cooper, along with two other members. They have received recognition from music lovers, critics, and fans.
