1. The Harley Davidson CVO
The CVO stands for Custom Vehicle Operation and is used for specifically designed, crafted, painted, and modified Harley Davidson motorcycles. In 1999, Harley Davidson began its CVO operations with the goal of offering its customers high-end factory-made custom Harley motorcycles. Harley picks several high-powered models from its lineup and revises them for an unmatched visual appeal and top-notch performance by installing additional luxury equipment, modifying them with several performance-oriented parts, and painting them with two-tone or three-tone premium colors. They are limited edition models produced in small numbers and are quite expensive.
2. What Makes Harley Davidson CVO Models Different?
- Apart from being luxurious, exclusive, and unique from the rest of the Harley Davidson motorcycles, Harley CVO models are ideal touring bikes for long-distance riding. These motorcycles have the most comfortable ergonomics for two-up riding with an upright riding position, spacious legroom, and comfortable arm position.
- The Harley Davidson CVO models are head-turning unique motorcycles when it comes to looks and performance. Being highly exclusive models, these motorcycles are produced and sold in limited numbers which makes them rare and distinctive from other lineups.
- The engineers and designers go out of the box when it comes to styling and accessorizing the Harley CVO models. These motorcycles are equipped with several unique accessories and features that are not found on other Harley Davidson models, including the Stage II Rockford Fosgate audio system, hand-painted pinstripes, reflex defensive rider system (RDRS), adaptive headlamps, ostrich leather, and the Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 cu in (1,983 cc) V-Twin engine.
- Harley Davidson also provides distinctive customer support and service to the Harley CVO owners. The service intervals are scheduled so you can take good care of your motorcycle. The aftermarket parts are produced in bulk so they are readily available in case of a breakdown. Even if your motorcycle’s chrome parts have lost some of their shine, the Harley support center will take care of it.
- When you buy a Harley Davidson CVO model, you are one of the very few motorcyclists who own a Harley CVO model and gain access to an established community. You will get invited to attend various motorcycling events and parties and have access to several members-only benefits.

5. The Bottom Line
Motorcycle customization is one of the most popular trends in the U.S. among motorcycle enthusiasts. Where most motorcycle manufacturers have attempted several times to introduce custom factory-made motorcycles, Harley Davidson introduced a separate division, called the Harley Davidson CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) to design, engineer, and produce the most premium, luxurious, and expensive Harley models with custom styling and high-end features. The Harley Davidson CVO models are limited editions and unique motorcycles with premium fit, finish, and detailing. The Harley CVO Street Glide and the Harley CVO Road Glide are powered by the most powerful Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 cu in (1,983 cc) V-Twin engine ever produced by Harley Davidson.
If you do not have more than $40,000 to afford the Harley Davidson CVO model, you can still prepare a custom touring bike by transforming your old Harley cruiser. Viking Bags can help you customize your motorcycle by offering several premium-quality modification parts, including fairings, sissy bars, sissy bar pads, crash bars, comfortable seats, and touring-oriented handlebars. To improve your touring experience, Viking Bags also has several luggage options, including tank bags, trunk bags, sissy bar bags, and saddlebags in a reasonable price range.
