The Buffalo Soldiers MC is an old MC, existing for more than 31 years. The club was founded in October 1993. The first chapter was created in Chicago by a police officer, Ken Thomas. However, it became a proper, registered organization, known as the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers/Troopers Motorcycle Clubs, in 1999.
Initially, they used to call themselves Buffalo Soldiers due to being inspired by the special Black regiment in the U.S. Army. This is the reason why you will mainly find black people in this biker club.
All the MC’s officials, including the club’s Presidents and management, gathered at a meeting in 1999. There were also certain small MCs’ chapters from different cities affiliated and present at the meeting at that time. These chapters used to wear the ‘Chicago Scholey’ patch/emblem on their vest.
Another very prominent name in the history of the Buffalo Soldiers biker club is Carl Laury. He was the key person who traveled to different U.S. states and convinced all the different chapters to unite and work under one name and wear the same patch.
There came a time when Laury’s efforts resulted in fruitful conclusions. Finally, the scattered groups and chapters that used to call themselves Buffalo Soldiers united and formed the organization.
