Love the bags. Need to replace bolts, end caps and washers.
Washers are too big, end caps too small. Bolts need to be stainless steel. I have larger caps off old bag and smaller washers.
Ordered and paid online with fast delivery to Australia. So thankful they arrived packaged well and secure. Love them and cannot wait to put on my bobber. Shipping was expensive but worth it to have the bags. Exchange rates are a killer but got the bags 20% off. Thankyou.
Issue 1)
Lefthand saddlebag holes were not quite in appropriate location.
I had to widen the holes a small amount with my drill so that the bag would actually fit on the bracket bolts.
Issue 2)
Directions state:
"Once the bracket is installed to the fender, add two washers to the bolts protruding from the bracket."
Then
"Mount the saddlebag and add 2 more washers"
So this means you need a total of 4 washers per bag - so 8 washers in all.
The kit comes with 4 total.
So either the directions are bad or the kit is incomplete.
Issue 3)
The bolts on the bracket that the bags get attached to are too long for the amount of hardware provided (even after I bought 4 more washers).
The very first nut I put on went in far enough to pop the acorn cap off the end - and the bag was still wobbly.
I had to find 4 more spacers from my parts bin in order to make it so the bags would fit snugly against the bracket and not pop the other caps off the nuts.

These are made for the scout bobber.
This is a blacked out bike.
Include black mounting hardware so you dont have unsightly steel parts.
ordered for my wifes bike. nice bags, however the hardware is terrible and some was missing. went out and replaced hardware next day. the end caps are to short, four washers were missing and the long bolts are just poor quality. viking should just provide decent hardware for their products from the get go. i would not mind paying a few more dollars for quality products.
