My old setup was basically a couple of small bags strapped wherever I could find room, and I finally got tired of it. These gave me a proper place for my riding gear without turning the bike into a touring machine. The storage is useful, the leather finish looks sharp, and the weather seal is reassuring when the forecast turns bad. For the way I use my FXLRS, these are easily in the conversation for the Best Harley Low Rider S saddlebags.
One thing I really appreciate is having matching keys for both sides. I’m constantly stopping for coffee or food on my rides, so I like being able to lock everything up and walk away without worrying about what I left on the bike.
I wasn’t looking for bags that screamed for attention. I wanted something that looked like it belonged on the bike, and the leather-covered finish does that really well. They follow the shape of the fender and don’t give the rear end that oversized luggage look. The amount of room is more than enough for my normal riding, so I’d put these among the Best Low Rider S saddlebags I’ve owned.
Customer service was easy to get ahold of and answered my questions without making me wait around. They knew the product well and pointed me in the right direction.
I’ve had enough annoying hinges on luggage to notice when one actually works properly. The hinge on these hasn’t caught my clothes or gear when I’m reaching inside, which makes grabbing something while stopped much less irritating. The mounting hardware also feels substantial. Nothing has started rattling or shifting after my regular rides.
I wanted something that looked a little more upscale than the usual black hard bags, and the leather-covered finish does the trick. They sit close to the fender and don’t make the back of the Low Rider S look too busy. There’s also plenty of room for my jacket, gloves, tools and the other stuff I normally take along.
Bags look great on bike! Need to get used to swinging my leg over a little higher and further out, but that's ok!!!
