I went with these because I wanted something I could actually lock up when I’m away from the bike. I’ve been leaving my jacket, gloves and a few other things in them during stops and it’s nice not having to carry everything around. The quick disconnect is handy too. I’ve taken them off a couple times already and it only takes a moment. They sit really close to myb ike, which was another thing I was looking for.
The locking setup is what sold me. I can stop for lunch or run into a store and leave my stuff on the bike without thinking about it the whole time. The quick-release system also locks in place, so the bags don’t feel like something that can just be pulled off when I’m not around. For my bike, these are easily among the Best Low Rider S saddlebags I’ve looked at.
Really happy with the fit on my bike. They sit tight against the fender and don’t sag even when I’ve got them packed up. I didn’t have to mess around with relocating the turn signals either, which saved me a lot of trouble.
I ride to work most days, so these get used pretty much every day. The weather seal has already come in handy because I got caught in a pretty good downpour last week. Everything inside stayed dry. Thanks Viking.
I was comparing a few options for my Low Rider S and kept coming back to these. The fit is close, the shape stays put when loaded, and the locks give me some peace of mind when I’m parked somewhere. Great saddlebag’s , easy enough to install with the added bonus of being able to use the quick release sissy bar . Super quick delivery considering I’m in the UK with no issues at all. Customer service was also excellent dealing with my many questions. One very happy customer.

Darkin Bags look and finish look great. Package arrived a head of time. Packaging was very secure. It took longer to unbox than to install. Installation took about 15 minutes. I was still able to use removeable sissy bar and bushing with supplied hardware from Viking. The mounting gauge work well. Bags installed first attempt. Went on 200 mile ride with no issues. Well done, Viking.

Install was very simple. I was able to keep my removable sissy bar without having to make any modifications. The bags come off and on easily and lock securely in place. And they look great on the bike.
I really liked the easy install on my 23 Low Rider S.
The larger shim was recommended, which I ended up using. I would have liked to tuck them in a little closer to my Two Up Luggage Rack that was on the bike.
Using the smaller shims made the turn signals sit more snug in the pocket provided in the bags. This in turn would make the bags more locked in, but a little harder to undock. The main thing with the Viking Bags is you don't have to relocate the turn signals. That was huge for me. they are great bags.
Viking might review that and possibly make a slight design change if it would benefit the Soft tails.
These ones actually fit unlike my forst pair i got for a dofferent bike i had and i didnt have to drill holes or do anything this is how all bags should be for all bikes viking so get rid of the ones that you have to drill stuff
A little difficulty in the beginning with the install, but I have a detachable sissy bar so I had too get longer bolts then sent with hardware. The bags are a little stiff locking them at first but after 3-4 times they loosen right up and lock with ease. Great product fast shipping and UNSURPASSED PACKING.
I mean they really put love into these, like they were shipping their own personal stuff.
Great quality. 15 minutes to get them installed. Maybe two minutes to take them off. They look great and hold a good amount of gear and tools.
