I wanted something that looked more like it belonged on the bike rather than a generic luggage setup. The leather-wrapped finish definitely helps with that. Once loaded, the bags still keep their shape, and there’s enough capacity that I don’t have to leave half my riding gear at home. For my FXLRS, these are easily in the conversation for the Best Harley Low Rider S saddlebags.
The matching keys are a small thing, but I really like having one key for both bags. I can lock everything up when I leave the bike in a parking lot and not have to think twice about it.
I’ve had bags before where everything inside starts making noise once you get up to highway speed. That hasn’t been an issue with these. The foam lining keeps things quieter, and the internal pockets are handy for the smaller stuff like cables and keys.
I went with these for the extra room because I do longer rides and usually end up carrying way too much stuff. There’s enough space for clothes, shoes, tools and my rain gear without having to pack everything perfectly. The leather covering also gives them a nicer look than the plain hard bags I was considering.
Got caught in the rain on a ride last weekend and the weather seal did its job. Nothing I had packed inside got wet. The bags also have a lot of room, which is why I’d put these among the Best Low Rider S saddlebags for someone who spends a lot of time on the road.
What surprised me was how much thought went into the little details. The hinge doesn’t catch on my gear when I’m reaching inside, and the locking lever is easy to use when I’m just closing the bags. The metal mounting hardware feels substantial too. I’ve been using them for both commuting and weekend rides and they’ve fit into my routine pretty naturally.
Bags overall look great and feel quality, i also enjoy the removable luggage bags. i just dont like that i have to drill my own mounting holes and risk destroying them.
