It has been over a decade since Ducati became associated with the Volkswagen Group. Currently, Ducati is directly owned by Lamborghini, which is a subsidiary of German automotive manufacturer Audi, both are under the control of the parent company Volkswagen, which oversees all operations of subsidiary companies. It is not unusual to see Ducati collaborating with these automotive manufacturers from time to time. A year ago, the motorcycling community witnessed one of the grandest collaborations between Ducati and Lamborghini when the company launched the Lamborghini-inspired Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini Limited Edition model in 2020. Another Limited Edition, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini, was introduced last year. This year, Ducati has joined hands with Bentley, another subsidiary company owned by Volkswagen Group, to launch yet another luxurious and high-end Ducati Diavel Limited Edition model. Continue reading this news post to learn more about the recently launched Limited Edition Ducati Diavel for Bentley.
The Limited Edition Ducati Diavel for Bentley is a premium and highly expensive model, released specifically for Bentley customers. The price of this limited edition model is $70,000, which is more than double the price of the standard Ducati Diavel. Due to such a high ask, the Ducati Diavel Bentley edition will be produced in limited numbers. It is a perfect replica of the Bentley, available in a motorcycle shape with exclusive styling elements and several top-end features.
The Limited Edition Ducati Diavel V4 Bentley takes inspiration from one of the most expensive and prestigious Bentley Batur, which costs around $2 million and is produced in limited numbers. This super coupe Bentley Batur features one of the most premium W12 Twin-Turbo engines with a power-producing capacity of 730 hp.
To start with, the first thing that appeals to the viewers is the Bentley-inspired paint scheme, defined as the Scarab Green color, originally taken from the Bentley Batur. The broad shrouds and air intake are also inspired by the Bentley Batur with both black and red elements, which shine when the light reflects on it.
To bring variation and versatility to the lineup and to attract more Bentley and Ducati fans, 50 more limited-edition units inspired by the Bentley Mulliner, in addition to the 500 limited-edition Ducati Diavel V4 Bentley, will also be produced on customers’ request. The limited-edition Ducati Mulliner variant will be available at a high price tag of $90,000. The price tag may sound quite a huge ask for a motorcycle, but considering the record, these limited edition Ducati Bentley models are expected to be sold quickly. The previous special-edition Ducati Lamborghini models, priced at $68,000, were also pre-booked in a matter of few hours after being announced.
The collaboration between the Ducati and Bentley, including the limited Ducati for Bentley bike, was displayed at the glorious Art Basel week held in Miami Beach. The Limited Edition Ducati Diavel V4 Bentley is one of the most compact bikes with bulbous and broad parts that give it a muscular and bold look. Another distinctive part inspired by the Bentley Batur is the star-shaped rims.
Several Bentley badges are being drawn on the fuel tank and large shrouds. There is also another Bentley badge stitched on the small backrest integrated at the tail cowl. If you see the base Ducati Diavel V4 and the limited-edition Ducati for Bentley up close, you will find several differences between the base and limited edition model. The Ducati for Bentley has refined and intricately designed machinery and parts, bolted perfectly to give it a premium look. Undoubtedly, it has a better finish, and as a complete package, this bike gives you a more prestigious and unmatched look. There is very little chrome used on this bike, with most parts and machinery having a matte black finish. Most machinery in the Ducati for Bentley, except the engine cylinders and transmission, are covered and protected. The cover installed below the fuel tank, which probably is hiding the battery, has a plate stating: “Limited Edition N ° XXX/500.”
The stylishly molded gas tank with aggressive linings, broad air intakes, radiator, sporty front fender, tail cowl, and headlight plate resting on top of the headlamp are painted in Scarab Green color. There are a lot of carbon fiber parts in the bodywork that did not receive the Scarab Green color to maintain their original appeal. Apart from all the Bentley-inspired parts, the rest of the bike, which includes electronics, braking system, suspensions, and the 1,158 cc V4 engine, is kept the same as found in the base model.
The company also offers a stylishly designed helmet and rider jacket for this limited-edition Ducati Diavel V4 for Bentley to complement the overall style.
