Riding on a trail is totally the opposite world as compared to riding on beautiful motorcycle roads and paved highways. Therefore, riding single-track trails on a dirt bike requires planning, preparation, and commitment.
Most GPS motorcycle apps do not show single-track trails, or they might not contain the settings. Depending on such motorcycle apps for a trail day, is not going to work out for dirt bikers. Furthermore, due to the reduced carrying capacity, dirt bike riders simply cannot carry the same amount of luggage and tools as those riding baggers, SxS or 4x4, cruisers, ATVs, or adventure motorcycles.
Finding dirt bike trails in an unfamiliar area is quite an impossible task without the assistance of some source or a local friend. But wait, there is more. You can find dirt bike trails with the onX Offroad App. In this article, you’ll get to know the steps on how to operate the onX Offroad app.
1. Offroad GPS Maps App: Find Dirt Bike, ATV, UTV, 4x4 Trails
1.1 onX Offroad App
Those who ride dirt bikes may have heard of it. If not, then we have got it covered for you. onX Offroad is a GPS mapping app that covers over 900 million acres of public land and over 400,000 miles of roads and trails. This one will serve you even if your phone does not have Wi-Fi or an active internet connection.
Moreover, you will find detailed satellite imagery, open trail information, as well as data on motorcycle destinations and campsites.
onX Offroad is a must-have app for dirt bike riders. You’ll see that the primary questions this app will ask you in its interface are to select what type of vehicle you possess, filter out the trail tracking you can use, and provide you with more accurate and relevant information.
Another important factor for trail bikers is that, besides the fundamental characteristics of the roads, this app will also inform you of their status if they are open or closed.
An additional factor that makes this an even more interesting app is that it signifies the rider when facing an intersection. Because it is important to be clear where to go from there.
You will have the facility to add marks on the route. Even if you find any alternative roads, the app has the option to save that data and map photos, and send them to different friends who will be sharing the adventure with you.
2. How to Find Dirt Bike Trails with the onX Offroad App?
