The bags are of a great quality, but I did have to get creative with attaching them to the rear fender. The bracket that was supplied did not line up correctly. Being a mechanic, I was able to make it work. For the average person though, I would keep in mind that it might not be plug and play. Even if you input the correct bike.

Not many options for the Scout 101 due to the piggy back shock, and what I saw they are small. The 25L Spiritblade bags looked like they were perfectly made to clear the shock so I took a chance purchasing them. I had to drill a new hole (and countersink it) in the bracket to mount it. I then had to drill new holes in the saddlebags to move them forward about an inch to clear the lights. I used black silicone to fill the old holes, which are now covered by the bracket. I also used longer bracket bolts, and an extra 1/8 spacer on the left side since that shock sticks out further. The outcome, in my opinion is great. Viking, you should have your bracket supplier alter the brackets so no holes need to be drilled in the bracket or bags, supply longer bolts and longer spacers for the left side. It's an easy alteration, and you'll have another option for the Scout 101. I should have also mentioned the bags are great quality for the price.

The superior quality of the bags made me so happy, and the amount of storage these give, despite being molded exactly for my motorcycle, and appearing smaller than my previous throw over saddlebags, is astonishing. Once again, Viking came through in spades. These are the only high quality, leather bags with a locking mechanism for Indian Bobbers on the market and it looks sick. I just gained a ton of storage capacity and it fits my Scout 20 perfectly. I had to pay import and tariffs to get it shipped to Canada but it was totally worth it. Includes all mounting hardware and pre-drilled holes. Took no time to install. Highly recommend!

The bags themselves are quantity and look great. The mounting hardware needs ro be revised. I'm not the first to say so. Thw bolts are too long. They need to be xut shorter or many extra washers need to be added.
