It's a good product, (the quick disconnect needed some modifications to fit my 2008 VTX 1800f, hence the 4 star. The bags are great and look wonderful. Definitely a 5 star for the bags themselves.
beyond happy with the quick disconnect system! was worried it wouldn't work with my quick disconnect sissybar or push the bags out to far. Neither was a problem. knowing my bags are safe and secure gives us peace of mind when away from bike for long periods. I like being able to take them off, and with the qds its a breeze! Excellent product and made very well! Worth every penny.
The mounts are great, they look good and function great. They work perfect with my Viking Hard bags on my Honda VTX. The instructions are poor. You will need a little work experience to install them.

Easy to install with included instructions, and I mean EASY! Watching the accompanying videos on the website was a super big assist. Not as interested in removing them easily as I was making them more stable. Having that option is nice though.
Nice and sturdy
Quick disconnect mounts are a well made product. They are sturdy and I have zero concerns of them falling off, coming loose, breaking, bending, or rusting. Quality and plenty of hardware was included. I would buy these again. A couple of things that I noticed/disliked, none are dealbreakers. The plates are somewhat difficult to slide on and off the spacers/rollers, I expected them to be a little more smooth. This is most likely because of the spacing of my fender hardware and not the mounts themselves. However, because of this, I know that they will not fall off or come loose while riding. It just makes taking the bags off a little inconvenient, but still better than unbolting. The locking mechanism does not or is difficult to lock open (1 locks open, the other does not - also the only reason for 4 stars) before sliding the mounts on. Not a dealbreaker but it would be nice if they locked open while removing the bags and the locks do engage properly when installing. Overall, well made and quality product that I would buy again.
Won’t know until Christmas but if they are anything like my quick release windshield I’ll will be getting some for my bike as well

Great bracket but wish it can be tied in/out to adjust the angle of the bags.
Installation was straight forward and it is very nice to be able to remove the saddle bags for security or to work on the bike.
They say these are not compatible with the shock cutout. I have the lamelar bags with the cut out and I had no issue. I will say that when I ordered the bags if I had known that the cutout runs the entire length of the bottom as well as the leading edge I would have bought the ones without the cutout. It's not needed for my vtx1300t and you lose a considerable amount of usable space. I like having removable bags. Makes it easy for service and cleaning. Over all I am happy with the quality of the viking products.
I found it easier to install than using the standard mounting hardware with my viking bags
Makes it nice when working on bike, easy to remove, but, it would be good if it came with a way to secure the bags from wobbling. It wants to move at the bottom away and back from the bike creating unwanted noise and added wear on the quick disconnect system which I am sure it will require replacement, more so if bike is used on a regular basis.
I want to be able to take these inside!

Had problems with one of the saddle bags locking. Seems like the lock catch is a little to low.
The quick disconnect system works well. The mount pins don’t have much extra clearance. They are a tight fit, but hold the bag well. Looks nice on the bike.
I bough the large lamellar bags, they are great. No complaints there. As far as the lockable quick disconnect bracket is concerned, still a good product but you could greatly improve on the instructions. As well getting the bolts and spacer the right length and diameter would also be a must for this kind of thing. Finally, as far as product design is concerned, since the saddle bags I got are contoured to suit the curves of the bike, it would be better if you could design the bracket to match as well.
Overall it was easy to install even though the instruction sheet sent wasn't very descriptive and the paper was faded. The recommended drill bit size to make pilot holes were also larger than needed. Fortunately, I figured that out before I drilled the pilot holes. The hardware was short two bolts and nuts the ones you use to mount the quick disconnect to the saddlebags. I had to go to the local hardware store and buy those. I think they may have fallen out of the box during shipping. Hopefully, Viking improves how they ship their products, especially with the $25 shipping charge. The same thing happened when I ordered my saddlebags on a separate order missing hardware.
The hardware is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Install was fairly simple, just double check your measurements before you start drilling and use the videos posted on the Viking bags website.
