The pictures don't really show how good the leather covering looks in person. Once I got these on the bike, they gave the whole setup a much more finished appearance. The leather has a nice texture and doesn't have that overly shiny look some hard bags have. What surprised me most was how well the large size works with the Street Bob. They give me a lot more carrying space without making the bike look ridiculous. After a few weeks of riding, I'm still very happy with how they look.
My delivery was left at a nearby address by mistake, so I had to spend some time sorting that out with the carrier.
I mainly wanted these for extra space on day rides, and they have plenty of room. I can throw in my jacket, gloves, tools, and a few other things without trying to pack everything perfectly. The bags keep their shape even when they're not full, which I like.
Having two matching keys makes things simple. I lock the bags before heading into a restaurant or gas station and don't have to think about what's inside.
I got caught in rain during a ride and didn't have to worry much about what was inside. The lids close tightly and the weather seal gives the bags a good level of protection.
After a couple of longer rides, I started appreciating the little things about these bags. The foam lining keeps the tools and smaller items from making a bunch of noise, and the lids open without catching on what's packed inside. I also got caught in some rain and everything stayed dry. The more I use them, the more I understand why these are considered some of the Best Harley Street Bob saddlebags for everyday riding.
