The bags and mounts are awesome! The screws that come with it are the same length as the ones that are on the bike, M10-1.25 × 40, but due to the spacing built into the quick mount they become too short to actually fasten in at all. Had to buy M10-1.25 × 50 bolts online to make them attach correctly.
Waiting for replacement bolts. The ones sent were too short. Replacement bolts worked perfectly. I thought the bags would be a little bigger, but they’re beautiful and fit perfectly. just discovered key only works on inner mount locks, not bag locks
The bags are great, however, I needed longer bolts for the sissy bar. I called you guys and the representative told me essentially too bad, we don’t send them only the ones for no sissy bar you will have to source your own.. I spent almost $400 dollars with you guys and MOST people have a sissy bar. The M10 1.25x 60mm socket cap bolts are VERY hard to find. I cannot believe that you don’t send both sets of bolts considering how much these bags are. The bags are great but that was very disappointing and the guy who told me to basically figure it out yourself was not good customer service.
Excellent product. Nice looking saddle bags. Hard to find accessories for my 2024 Honda shadow phantom motorcycle but Viking bags look and operate excellent. Hopefully engineers at Viking will soon make a sissy bar for The same motorcycle. Highly recommend these bags.
The bags themselves look great. They would have been an easy 15 min install if all the bolts had been long enough. It came with 4 M10x1.25 bolts 40mm length. This was the right size for the rear mount position but the forward position required a 50mm length once Amazon got me the right size bolts it went on no problem.
We had to cut the longer bolts down, but otherwise it was great
Bags are great, compliment the bike well. The M10 1.25x 40mm bolts are to small for mounting to the bike. I had to purchase a bigger size.
The bags themselves are good, i however had to order bolts on amazon because the included were too short and the replacements were too long. I am happy with how things turned out though and the bags work nicely.

They look really nice, very sturdy and not to mention very high quality materials used in making such a nice product. The other thing I like is that it comes with everything you need to mount them . Usually you have to spend a couple hundred bucks on mounting brackets. Top notch bags thank you
I bought a used 2024 Shadow from a dealer today with 187mi. These bags were already installed. I appreciate the functionality and need for saddlebags, but in my 58 years I have never seen a motorcycle that looked better with them on. Looks like 2 cheeks hanging over the seat... HOWEVER, I was thrilled with the ability to detatch them while leaving the hardware mounted, and the ability to lock them both to the bike and the lockable lid. One day I'll have a need to use them, and the dealer graciously dropped the price of the bike $600 when I told him to take them off and reduce the price. Since they aren't a Honda dealership, he couldn't resell them so I got a deal on something I will rarely use. They look to be well made. These still had paper wadding stuffed inside the front zipper pockets. A nice packing touch from Viking.
thw screws are too short
Bolts are still 15mm short as of Dec 2025 order. Everything else is great. Bolt size is 10mm x 1.25pitch add 15mm to length and its ez install. Looks great
Love the bags, but not so much the hardware. Bolts were a little short so could not fit brackets on bike. Ordered longer ones from Amazon at a cost of 20 bucks. Should go on fine once bolts come in. Bolts that came with bags were 10mm x 70mm as per instructions but were not long enough to engage threads of nuts on bike. To be clear if threaded portion of bolts were 70mm not counting head of bolt they would have fit fine. So I’m giving a four star instead of a five. Bags seem well made and are sturdy. Would buy again.

was missing one bolt but i went to ace hardware and got one. a little aggrivating but I got over it.
Easy install. I had on hand a 6mm Allan socket which fits both the stock bolts and the new mounting bolts. Done in under an hour.
Easy install, they look and work great. Loads of room. I just don’t like how far they stick out. But that’s the sacrifice you make for quick release
