I’m usually pretty picky about motorcycle luggage, especially anything with locks. These have two useful layers of security, the lid locks, and the quick-mount bracket can be locked too. That lets me walk away from the bike without feeling like I need to take everything with me.

The removable three-pocket organizer has saved me from the usual saddlebag mess. I keep small stuff in there and leave the larger compartment for riding gear. The Velcro makes it easy to pull the organizer out when I don’t need it. Definitely among the Best Rebel 500 saddlebags I’ve used for longer rides.

One thing I really appreciate is the front-opening lid. I can get into the bags without fighting with the seat, which makes grabbing something at a fuel stop much easier. The Best Honda Rebel 500 saddlebags for me would need this kind of everyday practicality.

Dear Viking Bags Team, I recently purchased a set of your bags and overall, I’m very pleased — they look great, fit my bike perfectly, and clearly show thoughtful design. However, I did want to share one concern. When my order arrived, the bags were shipped in a cardboard box without any protective covering. Unfortunately, this resulted in a scratch on one of the bags. While the scratch is on the back and not visible when mounted, it was still disappointing to see damage right out of the box, especially considering the premium price of the product. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that you might consider adding some form of protective wrapping or padding in the future. I believe this small improvement would go a long way in ensuring your products arrive in perfect condition. Thank you for your time, and again, I appreciate the quality and design of the bags. Rhe key didn’t unlock the inside lock that connects to the bike and sent an email but never received a response. Boxes fit well be they are useless if you can’t lock them to the bike.

Rear blinker interference on my 2017 Rebel 500 requires modification to my bike with aftermarket blinkers. It was promised in the description that these bags would not interfere. Bag on right side only opens 70 percent of the way on the hinge while left side opens completely. Do not want to modify my bike but I guess I don't have a choice. Asked these questions I'm the chat before purchase and I'm still stuck modifying everything. First set of bags from these guys required hours of work to relocate rear blinkers on my 250 which I was trying to avoid this time. Second set for my rebel 500 was warped and they gave me a 20 percent off discount and this set was incorrectly advertised. These guys don't have their crap together, and for the prices I've paid I may be looking elsewhere in the future.

I got these bags installed, super easy to do! Amazing quality. The only thing I would change is that one key locks/unlocks everything. Right now it’s one key to unlock/lock the bags and a second key to remove them from the bike. I like to carry minimal keys with me so it would be nice if it was one key fits all locks. Other then that they’re fantastic and I can’t wait to get out on the road with them
