These bags were "not" recommend as an option for the fat bob (FXDF), but AI assured me they would fit, and they did, beautifully. As you can see they even worked with my removable sissy bar and the stock taillight locations. These are great saddlebags, and I am very happy I pulled the trigger on them. I will say, as many others have, install is NOT easy, but still very doable. Viking Bags should offer some type of universal template just to help with install ease. Other then that, they are awesome bags. I also have a Viking Bags seat for my bike, and I cannot believe how much more comfortable that seat is compared to stock, and hundreds less then the competitors.
