Solo bag

Nice looking and good quality. Perfect for HD Sportster. Easy install and yes need a 5/16 x18x2.5 bolt.

Nice looking bag, small but good for essentials...

I attached this Sportster bag to my 2011 Triumph Speedmaster using different hardware, and it went on just fine, and it looks good too. The single fender strut bolt with the flat bar holds it nicely, and I used only one strap on the back end. The snap buckle secures the strap well, but it's big, and if I used both straps, there'd be very little room left inside for my stuff. I'm considering changing the one strap to a D-ring style because it'll take up less room, and in addition to it being less bulky, D-rings tighten up nicely too. I think I would ship the bag with D-ring straps, not the larger snap buckles...

Nice Bag, Hardware Lacking

The bag is sturdy and just barely fits 2020 Harley Sportster 1200 Iron. The reviews from other user about 5/16 bolt helped as supplied bolts too thick for fender. The thread pitch is 18 and the bolt length 2 1/2” did the job. The two twist buttons have small holes for padlock but I haven’t tried a small lock yet for fitment. I got rain pants at bottom, small drawstring bag and Ray Ban soft case sunglasses at top. Put some small screwdrivers with hex bits in thin zipper flap pouch.
