The additional plastic reinforced lid and body combined with a metal frame reduce sagging so that your bag retains its shape longer. The Honda 500 leather bag provides 1586 cubic inches storage area which is perfect for your daily rides. You can mount this bag as a throw-over or hard mount based on your preference and style. Most importantly, this bag has specifically designed cutout for shock clearance of your specific bike. The bag is key-lockable and comes with matching keys for both bags to improve security when you leave your bike in the parking lot. We included our free and updated metal mountings and bolts to improve the safety and durability of our bags, it is worth $149. The bag comes with tight weather seal velcro to keep water, dust, and other elements out when you ride in the rain or extreme weather. Pretty Good

The bags themselves are nice, some areas for improvement overall though. The instructions were poorly written, referred to pieces I did not have, did not mention some pieces I did have, and I had to go to the hardware store to buy hardware to make it work. The Velcro closures on the bags are a nice feature to keep the bags from deforming or flapping open at high speeds (and will increase the life of the bags), but made it so annoying to install that I cut additional Velcro to place over the closures during install. I keep the pieces in the bag so that if I‚Äôm going in and out of the bags frequently, I don‚Äôt have to be fighting to rip them open every time. If you end up buying these bags, you‚Äôll see what I mean. Overall, on my 2018 Rebel 500, they worked really well for my first overnight trip. Plus they look very nice against the matte black of the bike.

Instructions unclear: head stuck in window.

Would‚Äôve been a five out of five if the instructions weren‚Äôt absolute GARBAGE, I‚Äôm not saying ‚Äúoh they‚Äôre at least partially helpful‚Äù no no they were useless, nothing made sense.
Oh, the bolts were the incorrect size so I had to go to Lowes to get the right ones.

The bags are good, just know you‚Äôll have to drill the holes in them yourself so be ready for that and have an extra pair of hands around.
