Crash Bars/Engine Guards for Indian Chief Motorcycles

Indian Chief Series Crash Bars

Indian Chief bikes have a large and robust build with the handling of a sportbike, but that does not mean they are durable against everything. If your bike gets into an accident or it falls over because you forgot to put down the kickstand, that could result in a busted engine. And that will cost weeks or months of precious time you could be spending with your bike. To reduce the risk of having to take your bike to a mechanic for repairs, you can get a set of Indian Chief crash bars. These motorcycle aftermarket parts can come with either a chrome or black paint color scheme. The paint has a rustproof coating to increase the longevity of the engine guards and prevent water damage. The clean and smooth surface is easy to clean with a wet or dry rage. Depending on the design, the crash angles may have a rounder style or a more angular look when protruding at the sides.

Also known as engine guards for Indian Chief, they will help protect your bike’s frame and engine from being damaged due to collisions. Whether it is vehicle front fenders or the solid asphalt that impacts the crash bars, the steel bars that make up their structure will hold strong. The majority of the crash cages’ construction is solid steel bars with a thickness of at least 1.25 inches. There is a large opening with mounting points at the end where you can attach the engine guards underneath the front fork of your bike. When installed, these aftermarket parts will be positioned at a slight angle around the middle of your bike.

When installed, there is adequate space behind the bars to slide your legs inside. The crash cages can act as protection for your legs, keeping them from being hit by vehicles or stuck underneath the weight of your ride. If you prefer not to leave your legs dangling, you can prop them up onto the rubber pegs that act as footpegs. You will not need to search for or purchase separate mounting hardware as you will be provided with all of the required bolts, spacers, nuts, and other pieces with the Indian Chief crash bars.
