Bag was easy enough to install. Looks great I didn't want big saddlebags on my dyna. If you use a wrench on the hex bit itself to take off the passenger foot peg mount bolts it makes it easier for space than trying to fit a rachet under the belt. My second purchase with vikingbags. Shipping super quick both times and happy with the quality of both items.
Was a little difficult to get the nut on the bolt inside the bag, but otherwise was very easy to install and I'm very happy with it

Things to note for the install: 1. The directions say that you may have to remove the passenger peg. I'd say that's an understatement. I don't see how this bag could even be mounted and usable with the passenger peg OR the peg mount still in place on my 2009 Super Glide FXD. That said, mine is strictly a solo bike. I didn't want passenger pegs on it anyway, so I had a machine shop cut the peg mount off at the belt deflector mounting tab. This way I could still mount the bag and retain the factory chrome belt deflector without having the peg mount and peg in the way. 2. You'll want to mount the bag as far to the rear, (close to the spring), as possible so you can get your boot heel on the jiffy stand extension to deploy the jiffy stand and to minimize heat from the primary cooking the contents of the bag. The problem in doing this comes into play when you're drilling the holes in the bag for the bolts. The way the material is stitched along the side seams makes it very difficult to drill the holes close to the edge without going through the side of the bag and even more difficult to get a wrench in there to tighten the nut afterwards. I saw someone stated that the holes in the mounting bracket didn't line up...that's incorrect. They line up perfectly, you have to snug up the lower mount (peg mount) first. Push the bracket a little bit rearward before starting the second bolt (deflector mount) and then pull the bracket forward and tighten everything down. It's really a solid mount once everything is tightened down. When marking the bolt holes before drilling, please check several times to ensure the top of the bag is below the bottom of the fuse box cover as it will be drawn toward the frame under the fuse box when tightened down. Make sure it's close to, but not touching the spring. And make sure no holes are so close to the edge that you won't be able to tighten the nuts down after drilling. The bag itself is very small (to be expected given its intended mounting location), and is suitable for smaller items such as: keys, phone, sunglasses, garage door opener, rotor lock, etc... So don't expect to keep much else in there like tools, rain jacket or ball cap. That said, the bag will suit the purpose for which I bought it. It does look good on the bike. And I don't think there will ever be a concern about it falling off or even being stolen for that matter as it's very solidly mounted and secure. I recommend any products made by Viking Bags as this is my second or third purchase from them and everything I've received has been superior quality at same or better price point than their competitors.

Bracket didn’t line up with bolts.
Looks great , but was difficult to install. the belt cover bolt hole did not line up with the bracket provided for my 2012 Fatbob. I had to rig it up with a smaller bolt and nut.

Quality materials. The Viking Bag replaced my Harley-Davidson Dyna swing arm bag. The Harley version could be removed without tools which made it less secure for theft, yours requires tools. Also, the Viking Bag is more adjustable for mounting regarding height and angle for the ideal fit. I had to purchase a longer retaining bolt for drive belt cover since the bracket hardware did not include one. Other than that a good bag.
Installation was pretty simple. May need an extra nut and bolt depending on what your riding but overall easy and it looks great. Also had it shipped within a few days i was surprised, very quick. Just need to see how it does long term, thanks Viking Bags :+1: (17 Dyna Street Bob)
Very nice bag! Just what i needed on my wide glide for a little storage. Installed in about 15 min. Not too bad with the right tools.
Works great. Takes a little elbow grease to loosen up the saddle leather. Only problem I encountered was having to cut the bag mounting bolts down, as they were hanging up on everything inside. Excellent quality leather and workmanship.

Got this bag for a 2003 superglide. I had to modify the mounting bracket but it fits just fine. Good quality bag that is big enough for registration, a bungee net, rag, and maybe a couple tools.
Perfect bag, I made some modifications on the bracket to fit on my 2002 Dyna Super Glide but happy with the result.
I am EXTREMELY pleased with my new Swing arm bag! It looks amazing and the quality is outstanding! The rugged durable quality of the leather is just amazing. Installation was a bit weird, but overall I got it on no issues. The Finish on the chrome is bright and very shiny. Placement on the bike couldn’t be easier
Exactly as described if you have big hands then you might have an issue. I haven’t had time to remove my saddle bags and instal my swing arm bag will update review after using it a bit.
The bag is really solid. It’s extremely well-built and operates perfectly. The straps/clips and the ability to lock the bag is very handy. The only things that are not cool are the lack of the hardware required. You’ll need the extra length bolt with the bracket that adds too much thickness to allow the original bolt to work. Speaking of the bracket, it is incredibly flimsy. I hope I can find a machinist to fabricate some thing more stout. Make sure you do not get the studs too close to the seems/edge of the bag. That becomes a bear to feed a nut and tighten that nut. In hindsight, I would have moved the bag higher up to make more clearance on the studs and bolt installation. The opening on the top access point is small, but you get used to it. I guess they have to fold the sides in to maintain the rigidity of the shape of the bag, which makes that too opening is small?! You will enjoy the swing arm/saddle bag A LOT. It’s a keeper 100%
Nice bag, , you have to remove the passenger peg mounts and the bolts are super hard to get out due to the anti vibration thread type, could not budge! I ended up mounting it to my sissy bar support bracket and it looks pretty good there.
Everything was perfect, great heavy duty leather and the bracket was perfect. The only thing that would have made it better was a nut for the chain guard, bolt for chain guard screws into foot peg mount which gets removed to put bag on. But what self respecting man don't have extra nuts laying around. Great bag and I'm very happy.
Quality was good. Didn’t realize I’d have to take my passenger pegs off to correctly mount it to the bike. Website should probably say this, unless I missed it? Had to return.
High quality product and delivered quickly. Install required removal of the passenger pegs. Also important to note that you will need a bracket ( not included / 20$ on eBay ) in order to properly attach the mounting hardware and belt guard.

The bag is terrific, the mount required completely removing the riders foot pegs as stated. The mount you sent can only mount with 1 bolt, therefore the belt guard is questionable if mounted.
Needed a place to carry smaller items and do not like the looks of standard saddle bags on my Dyna, Tried a ;eft sided bag but it made my bike look lopsided. The swing arm bag is perfect for my use, and looks awesome on my bike. The bracket does not fit my year Dyna though and I had to modify it by cutting and adding another piece to it. It now fits and looks perfect. I would have given it 5 stars if the bracket had been right.
The bag is really nice overall. The straps and the harness connectors are cool. The bag opening is quite small and awkward to get things in and out of the bag. The metal bracket is highly questionable, due to being flimsy I’m going to have to find a fabricator to make a proper solid metal bracket for the bag. When you are marking the location for bracket studs, take great care to not get the studs too close to the edge of the bag. It becomes very difficult to put the nuts on. This bag will hold couple pairs of sunglasses, store glasshouse, etc. Definitely a descent part and handy to have.
