1. Kyle Wyman Snags Double Daytona Victories

The time of the year has arrived when the race-prepared baggers from different parts of the country fight for the 2024 King of the Baggers title. Kyle Wyman has restored his supremacy at the King of the Baggers after losing two seasons in a row. However, there is still a lot to do to earn the 2024 King of the Baggers title. The H-D factory team is expecting to finish the season on a higher note after winning the first two races at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

1.1 James Rispoli Finishing at Third

Along with Wyman, the other top racer from the Harley-Davidson factory team, James Rispoli, finished the first two King of the Bagger races in third spot. Both Wyman and Rispoli are using the tweaked and track-ready Harley Davidson Road Glides.

2. Cory West Leading the Mission Super Hooligan Championship’s Points Table

Looks like Harley Davidson is on a winning streak as Cory West from the Team Saddlemen, fighting for the Mission Foods Super Hooligan Championship title finished the latest round held on 9 th March 2024, at the top spot. What makes the Hooligan Championship’s last race special for the Harley Davidson is that all three places on the podium were secured by Harley riders. After Cory West, the second place was secured by Jake Lewis from the Team Saddlemen, and standing in third place was Cody Wyman from the Gator Harley/KWR team.

Cory West, while riding on his Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special, finished third on the podium at the race held on Friday (8 th March 2024). However, West still manages to stay on top of the points table after two of the 10 scheduled rounds.

Giving you an overview of the 2024 King of the Baggers’ first race held on Friday (March 8, 2024), it was an electrifying scene watching 17 top participants riding their baggers like sports bikes to claim the victory. The track at the Daytona International Speedway is a 3.52-mile oval course and what makes the track more challenging are the highly-banked portions.

Two of the finest bagger racers from the H-D factory team, including Kyle Wyman and James Rispoli dominated the whole race from start to end, along with the Indian Factory rider, Troy Herfoss. Wyman had a tough time beating Herfoss and the competition stayed neck to neck till the end. The competition became more intense in the last six laps when the difference between the top 3 contestants was less than a second throughout.

The last corner provided Wyman the lead to beat Herfoss with a difference of only 0.018 seconds. James Rispoli also missed the first spot with a difference of around 0.137 seconds.

Kyle Wyman on winning the 2024 King of the Baggers’ first race expressed:

“On that last lap, we were just about parked, but I refused to pass to lead the race until the moment it counted. I saw a window coming out of the chicane and was just able to hold them off for the win.”

4. 2024 King of the Baggers’ Second Race

The 2024 King of the Baggers’ second race which was held on 9 th March 2024, had a dramatic ending and again it was Kyle Wyman and Troy Herfoss heading to the finish line with a close margin. It was an unfortunate day for Herfoss as he was in control of the race till the end when he made a mistake. Herfoss couldn’t press the brakes at the right moment and went past the chicane which cost him the first place on the podium.

Kyle Wyman also pointed it out in his post-winning press talk:

“I was in survival mode on the last lap. I lost my quick-shifter and I was going to be happy to finish second, but Herfoss gave me a chance and we made it work. Hats off to my entire Harley-Davidson crew for all their hard work this weekend.”

James Rispoli also looked thankful for the opportunity to participate and expressed his emotions after another finish at the 3 rd spot in the second round:

“What an unreal weekend. There was so much nervousness before the races. So, it was a massive relief to get two podiums on my first weekend with the Factory Harley-Davidson team. I am so stoked for the entire team, and I know we will be a force for the future rounds.”
