Yamaha has revealed the 2023 R1 GYTR, a modified version of the Yamaha YZF-R1 designed only to be ridden on race tracks. Harley Davidson decided to separate the production of electric motorcycles from its standard petrol-engine motorcycles in 2021 by introducing a separate brand known as LiveWire.


LiveWire’s second electric motorcycle, the S2 Del Mar comes with an electric modular aero architecture manufactured at the LiveWire lab in California.


The company announced the S2 Del Mar in 2022, with only 100 S2 Del Mar models expected to be built in 2023. Within 18 mins of the announcement, all 100 S2 Del Mar models were booked for $17,699. The S2 Del Mar will continue to be in production in 2023 after the first 100 models are delivered.


The 2023 S2 Del Mar’s 19-inch cast aluminum wheels are designed with complex spoke patterns that improve handling and lateral stability. The final specifications are yet to be announced by the company but the aim is for the motorcycle to produce a horsepower of 80 hp. LiveWire claims that the S2 Del Mar will be able to travel between 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.


The engineers at LiveWire are working to make the S2 Del Mar only around 199.58 kg, which is 54.43 kg less than the LiveWire One. This electric motorbike will be able to travel a range of 100 miles with just a single full charge.
