Wouldn't recommend for riding with passenger since you can't fit on almost any sissy bar pads in the center.
It is easier to secure your backpack thanks to the foldable luggage rack. Can't say anything about level of comfort though.
If you're looking for good hard cases, not hard bags, these are the ones you want for any long motorcycle trips.
