Nice bags, virtually worthless install instructions/hardware kit.

Ordered for my 2008 Fat Bob. Liked the idea of a hard shell. Matte finish matches my bike.

Install instructions/kit were next to useless. Seem to be written for another model. Lots of hardware that was not even referenced in instruction sheet. No way would vertical mounts allow for lower horizontal bar to connect. There's a groove on the back of the bags that seems to serve no purpose. Fender mounting bolts provided were 1/2 inch too long or too short. Picked up 4 replacements at TSC. Ended up reusing HD spacers. Spread out lower mounting points. Bags would not mount level with tailpipes at 1.5 inches. Picture of bags shows much closer mounting. Ended up following top with fender contour. Looks pretty good. Bags bottoms angle up to rear. Will keep them from being cooked. Bags themselves seem well made, for something designed in America and made in Pakistan. Thick fiberglass, weather seal, lockable. Just need to keep in mind that they are there now.
