Look great but the latches

Look great but the latches are not that great one is loose and something takes a couple tries to stay latched before locking them

Installation instructions were terrible! I attempted to contact customer service 3 times; received 1 straight answer in 2 days. No response to others.

Missing Parts

I received my bags promptly. The bags are indeed very nice, and I'm certain they are all I hope for in an extra large saddle bag for a classic bike. Upon doing an inventory of the parts, I found that the crossmembers were missing. I emailed support, but after two days, received no response. I called customer service, and the lady I spoke to was curt, but said the crossmembers would be sent out the next day. Additionally, the instructions for installation are simple enough, but by bike has a sissy bar, and the instructions don't take this into account, and I do not find separate instructions addressing this. Quality control and customer service can certainly be better!

Viking Lamellar Vale Extra Large Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic, VN900 Painted Motorcycle Hard Saddl...

I absolutely LOVE my new saddle bags. These were a replacement for the soft bags that came with the bike. I was looking for bags that were larger and lockable. These fit the bill and they really compliment the look of the bike! My only complaint is the installation instructions. The bolt images used for "Step 5" aren't clear as to which bolts need to be used. A top view would have been very helpful. Also, the installation instructions shipped do not appear to be as updated as the online PDF. Additionally, the bolts I received do not exactly match what is being used with the online PDF either--I got 3 different sizes and only two of each. After carefully considering all options, I decided to use the existing hardware and mounting frame that came with the original bags since I have a chrome piece that runs along the rear fender which has large mounting holes to accommodate the original bag installation. As the instructions state, it's a really good idea to have someone help with the install and alignment. Also, be aware that if you have a backrest and luggage rack on the back like I have, those will have to come off. Re-assembly takes a little coordination and patience to get the bags, the rack and backrest together. For the pre-drilling step, I taped a small level on the top of the bag and dabbed water-based, white craft paint (isn't permanent and washes off really easy) on the bolts that hold the bag and very gently pressed the bag against the bolts to make the marks for the drill holes (it took a couple of tries). Once I was convinced that this is where I wanted it mounted, I drilled the holes based on my marks. Like the instructions state, place the bags back to back for drilling the second bag. Since my drill will not fit inside the bag, I used the drill bit, and twisting by hand, made the marks from the inside of the drilled bag to the other bag. I then drilled the other bags based on my marks. The end result was perfection!
