This is why Viking is absolutely best aftermarket bags. Hands down! This Mohawk fits great on Kawasaki Vulcan 90 classic LT with OEM brackets. Quality is exceptional, very good reinforcement, and leather is very thick. This is bags looks absolutely great on this kind of Classic, heritage, vintage design bikes. You need only one inch clearance from pipe, bag is not even warm after ride. No need to put bags all the way up leveled with passenger seat, looks awkward and ridiculous.
Love the look of the studs on these bags, makes it look classy in my opinion.
Seems to be a good product for the money and really keep their shape!
So far, bags seem to be VERY well constructed, they look amazing, and it definitely adds some utility to the Scout.
As for the hardware concerns:
I have a sissy bar with the spools so I had some unique challenges to overcome to mount these. Like a lot of the reviews state, the mounting hardware that came was not the correct size, nor were all of the bolts that were required included. This didn’t bother me too much due to the fact that I needed different hardware anyways due to my pre-existing sissy bar spools. I had to go out and buy 4 M8 1.25 100mm bolts and so far the fit is perfect.
I'm going to give this 4 stars, But the video installation and instructions were not much help. The 3-4 minute video gave me a lot of confidence until my bags arrived and it was actually time to do the install. I must have watched that video 50 times. I still am not sure how this is a 1 person job if you want them to line up perfectly. You definitely need help to hold the bags where you want them while marking the location of the drill hole in the back. They fit my scout- but it is a close fit between the brake lights and suspension. VERY close. There were more parts and pieces than I needed, which was confusing at first but helpful once I gave up on trying to do mine exactly to instructions or video. You just kinda have to feel it out and use what is in front of you to make it work for your ride.
But now they are on, albeit slightly uneven, and they look great!
