Love these bags but leather is very delicate

Purchased these bags in 2018 and I really like them, they are sleek and decently constructed. However last week I dropped the bike on a gravel driveway at low speed and the leather on the bag just shredded off. I would have liked to see the leather glued to the hardbag instead of just stretched over.
The leather is very thin and attached to what seems like a layer of thin fabric then stretched over the bag and secured at the edges. This explains why slight nicks or rock chips create decent little holes. I still love these bags and I'm going to attempt to glue the leather back on.
Just a warning to any potential buyers that minor damage will have a drastic effect.

My 2022 sportster forty eight took nicely to this addition. Install was tricky but worth the time and money I would only suggest a wiring extension rather than splicing wires to relocate the tail lights and license plate. I wish I could show pictures.

Honestly I was up in the air on what they would look like , but I was tired of carrying a backpack. I ordered these bags had a great deal with coupon code. We installed them pretty easy. I love them and they look great. If you have a side mounted plate the kit they send for relocation will not fit read the fit notes overall great bags look great , fit snug and carries all your stuff even a gallon gas can
