VTX 1800R and 1300S Specific Bags With Shock Cutout/Predrilled Saddlebags

These bags are more than good i read in another review we need to purchase (2) different bolt sizes 8MM x 1.25 and 10MM x 1.25 fine thread and 65-70mm long, and i bought these bolts before the bags arrived. Thanks to that person

Bolts are the only thing you need to buy for $10 and the bags will fit perfectly

IMO, the bags are nice. They seem well made and are of good quality. As others have mentioned, the installation directions could be more polished. Also, having to find my own longer bolts was fun. It'd be reasonable for Viking to include two other sets of longer bolts to make this a complete install kit. The site boasts it comes with the hardware but in my opinion, the hardware is incomplete if I need to find bolts. (Include extra hardware -- it won't hurt!) I had to go to two different stores to find bolts. I did find bolts at a local Ace hardware (thanks VTXCafe!) but this should not have been necessarily.

Anyway, back to the bags. The construction is good. Closing the bags were a bit difficult at first but now that I've used them for a couple of weeks, they clip close with ease. (Totally expected this)

Overall, I'd recommend if you are looking for hard-mount, leather saddle bags.
