I was a little hesitant to place an order after reading some other feedback but I sure am glad I did. I purchased the bags that are specific for the Honda VTX 1300S (2005). I was also a little nervous about getting the bigger bag (DR-212-S) as I thought it might be too close to the big stock exhaust pipe but it is not even close. These bags shipped from the warehouse closest to my residence and I had them just 4 working days after I ordered them. These bags look awesome and the quality is excellent. The predrilled holes make the fit perfect and the support brackets are a new style and much better than the ones I saw in the Utube installation video. I did have a question about these new brackets so I called and got my question answered in just minutes. Yes you do have to track down some longer bolts especially if you have a sissy bar side bracket but it is well worth the minimal hassle. I will soon be ordering some Viking bags to replace the ones on my wifes bike once she decides which style she wants.

These are good looking saddlebags and are well constructed. They fit as advertised but the installation instructions were not up to date. I had to contact C/S for help and was directed to You Tube to watch a video on the installation process. Both bags mounted correctly and look great. I would recommend these bags to any VTX owner looking for a good bag at a reasonable price. Viking just needs to update their installation instructions.

These are well constructed bags and the leather seems of a good quality. I was directed to "You Tube" to watch a video about installing the bags - it was helpfull, so I would advise you to veiw it first. The instructions mention that "some may require longer bolts". It appears to me that all VTX owners should purchae the longer bolts prior to attempting installation - you will need them. As described in the video it tellls you to have an assistant hold the bag against the rear fender bolts and once you are satisfied with the position to push against the bolts to make an impression. The fit is good and the also look great on my bike.
